Athletes are required to complete and return an Athletic Eligibility Packet (pdf) each year.  A complete packet may be printed from this site or a hard copy obtained from the Athletics Office in the Administration Building.  A completed packet is good for an entire school year.
Sports physicals (documents included in packet) must be dated AFTER March 1 of each year.
A $50.00, per sport, participation fee is to be paid prior to the beginning of the season.
Once an athlete has completed an Athletic Eligibility packet, they will need to notify the Athletics Office of their intention to participate in an additional season(s) and pay the participation fee for that sport.
ALL sophomore, junior and senior athletes transferring to TVHS from another high school in which you participated in a sports program, MUST meet with the TVHS Athletic Director before participating in a sports program at TVHS.
Please contact the Athletics Office with any questions, Lloydyne Rapp, Athletic Secretary, 760-0801, ext. 1007,

august athletes

Front Row:
Dominique Phillips - Pomline
Dominique is being honored for her kindness, dependability, hard work, and outstanding progress during the month of August.
Briana Ede - Volleyball, Libero
Bri has earned the starting position at libero this season. During the month of August, in which the team played 3 matches on the road, Bri has accumulated 40 digs, 4 aces on 47 service attempts, and 5 assists. Bri is a primary passer for all 6 rotations.
Ellie Radomsky - Girls Swim
This is Ellie's third year on the swim team. Ellie has matured into a complete athlete for our swim team. Ellie has won her swimming events this year, as well as qualifying for all her events at state at the end of last year. Ellie continues to expand her swimming skills by excelling in different swimming events each year. Ellie continues to be a tremendous asset to our swim team each year. Having Ellie on our swim team exemplifies Tanque Verde Pride. We are fortunate to have Ellie represent our school.
Shelby VanDenburgh - Cheer
Shelby is a senior and currently one of the captains of the cheer squad. She has cheered on the Varsity team since she was a freshman. Over the month of August, Shelby has stepped up into her role as captain and has become an effective leader on the team. She has been essential to the increasing entertainment factor of the cheer squad at games, by calling a variety of cheers, chants, stunts and tumbling times as well as helping to prevent down time. She has spent time making up a dance to teach to the chickiehawks for our elementary clinic as well as learning a new dance which she then taught to the team. While she has been a base previously, Shelby has been asked to fill the role of top girl this year and has adapted to that position. In the month of August Shelby has helped to improve the cheer team and has lived up to the role of a Spiritline member.

Back Row:
Titan Flint - Boys Swim
This is Titans third year on the swim team. Titan has improved dramatically each year and is now one of the elite swimmers on the team. Titan has won all the swimming events he has been entered in this year. Titan displays tremendous leadership skills. He never stops helping the team both in and out of the pool. Whatever it takes Titan is there for our team. Coaching Titan is what makes coaching worthwhile. We are so lucky to have him on our swim team.
Eric Teitelbaum
- Football, Wingback & Safety, #2
Eric is a TVHS Senior. In August Eric had 13 carries for a 109 yards, 1 rushing touchdown and a punt return for a touchdown. 3 interceptions and 15 tackles. He is a hard worker and we look forward to seeing what he does in September.
Ryan Smith - Boys Cross Country
Ryan has been our best runner all month, and was our 1st finisher in our only race of the month, running 19.28 for 3 miles, finishing 25th out of 66. Only a sophomore.

Not Pictured:
Zinnia Nielsen - Girls Cross Country
Zinnia, a freshman, made so much improvement this month she went from 4th runner to being our 2nd girl in the August 30th race, a time of 24.52 in 102 degree heat. Shows much promise.
