Get ready to learn music through singing, playing instruments, listening to music, moving to music and exploring MUSIC! I am excited to continue the general music education program at ACES. We will be using the "GAME PLAN" curriculum which includes singing, dancing, playing orff instruments and other percussion instruments, learning music notation and creating our own music. Each grade level will do one musical performance as well as the Holiday Sing-A-Long!

Muisc and teaching has always been my passion. The story goes, when I was in fifth grade my piano teacher, church choir director, and my mom were all guessing what I would be when I grew up. They all agreed I would be doing something musical. I have been playing piano since I was six, singing in community theatre groups and choirs since I was nine and playing string instruments since I was ten. I cannot wait to share all that I have learned through my amaizng teachers, directors, mentors and family with your children!

Feel free to email me if you have any quetsions or stop on by the music room if you want to see what we are doing!

We are fourtunate to be able to have the Tucson Symphony Music in the Schools program available for our 4th, 5th and 6th grade students!
What does the Tucson Symphony Music in the Schools do with the students?
Three times a year, the TSO small ensembles will visit our school and perform for the students
                  String Quintet
                  Brass/Percussion Quintet
                  Wind Quintet
The 4th, 5th and 6th grade students will also be attending the Tucson Symphony  to listen to the full Symphony play.
How can I get a chance to hear the Tucson Symphony?
We will need chaperones for the Symphony trip in April. Letters were sent home with permission slips and chaperone requests. If you did not receive one, email Mrs. Brown or the classroom teacher.
How can I support this program?
Tax Credit Donations can be made to the school which help to support great additional programs and field trips. Ask the office how you can make your Tax Credit Donation!
