The 2018 Incoming Hawks Night at Tanque Verde High School was a great success, with large numbers of students and parents attending the annual open house event for prospective students.

The TVHS choir, band, and the pom and cheer teams began the program with a positive upbeat atmosphere in the MPR to welcome the community.

Staff and students volunteered to help out for the evening event, at which there was a very large turnout. All of the student clubs, sports and activities were represented by students and their sponsors or coaches. Each table was decorated and hosted by participating students, who were informative and engaging. The world culture club table was especially popular with the desserts they shared representing different regions of the world.
The student speakers, senior Aurora Flores, freshman Brett Bradley, and parent Trina Weeks provided honest, supportive, and insightful perspectives about their experiences at TVHS.

Ms. Rhonda Burnett, TVHS Guidance Counselor, commented, "It was pom line waits to performwonderful to see our students so proud to speak to parents and students about their school, and their clubs, sports and activities." She added, "A  large group of parents and students took advantage of the student-led campus tours, and the Student Council (STUCO) tour leaders were professional, friendly and very helpful in answering their questions."students in library
