AZM2 Testing

AzM2/AzSci Information - State Testing for Grade 7-8

About AzM2/AzSci
Students in grades 7-8 will be taking the AzM2 State Testing. Attendance is very important. Unless there’s an emergency or your child is sick, please make sure your child is on time to school and stays until dismissal. If a student leaves in the middle of a test, they are not permitted to finish that section and all unanswered questions will be marked incorrect.

AzM2 is an annual assessment to measure our students’ progress in mastering the state-adopted academic standards in Writing, Reading and Math. It is an opportunity for parents and teachers to gain information about their students’ achievement. Teachers are able to analyze test results and better tailor instruction to student needs. This year the AzM2 test will be a paper copy booklet and not online.

Emily Gray 8th Grade students will be taking AzScience in addition to AzM2 (Writing, Reading & Math). Again, this test measures our students’ progress on the academic standards in Science and teachers can use the results to inform their instruction. The AzSci test is a computer based test. Eighth grade students who have a chromebook checked out will need to bring it the week of April 19th-22nd as they will be taking the AzSci test in their regularly scheduled Science classes.

Remote learners should report directly to the MPR. Please plan to pick up your child at the scheduled end time listed below. We will call if your child is done sooner, or if we think they may need additional time. Our remote learners will be the only students in the MPR and they will be seated 6ft apart.
