Food Services

Free meal program for ALL children in the community 18 and under has been extended through the 20/21


New Grab & Go pick-up place and time effective March 22, 2021:

  • Grab & Go pick-up time is Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-10 a.m. at Tanque Verde Elementary and Tanque Verde High School only.
  • Children do not have to be enrolled in TVUSD to receive free meal and parents/guardians are allowed to pick-up meals without the children being presents. All children on campus will be offered a free breakfast and free lunch. 


TVUSD Food Service will serve meals on days of student instruction, on-line and/or on campus. Please visit the website below for information on free meals for children on days we will not be operating.

Congratulations to Kelly Yslas, HR Coordinator responsible for oversight of the TVUSD Food Services Department, and the awesome Food Services Teams at our four schools for achieving the Pima County Health Department’s Consumer Health and Food Safety Division's "Ready for You" Best Practices Certification for their work!

These TVUSD staff members are working hard to ensure they follow appropriate safety measures in preparing and delivering healthy meals to our students, families and staff members. When you see the “Ready for You” emblem it means that business is complying with the minimum COVID-19 safety guidelines required by the Pima County Health Department.

Important information for parents/guardians of students eligible for free or reduced school meals.
 
"Per the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, the Department of Economic Security (DES) is providing PEBT benefits to those families with students enrolled in a school participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) whose students have lost access to free or reduced-price meals due to a school closure of five days or more."
