Coach Varela began coaching at the high school level in Iowa in 2007. In 2015 Coach Varela took over the varsity boys soccer program at Muscatine High School and remained in that position until 2023. After 32 years as a State Trooper, it was time to retire and start a new chapter in Arizona.
