FRIDAY, MAY 28TH 10-11:00 AM GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY!

The Arizona Cardinals will be on hand to kick off a field improvement project at Tanque Verde High School with a groundbreaking ceremony. Tanque Verde High School with the Arizona Cardinals will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the new football field improvement project. The event will take place at Tanque Verde High School, located at 4201 N. Melpomene Way, in Tucson, AZ on Friday, May 28 at 10:00 a.m.

The free event will include speeches and refreshments. Arizona Cardinals alumni players, Cardinals Cheerleaders and the Cardinals mascot, Big Red, will be in attendance.

With a $200,000 field improvement grant received by Tanque Verde HS Principal, Dr. Amy Cislak, from the Cardinals Charities in partnership with the NFL Foundation, the existing TVHS football field will be recrowned, and a new irrigation system and scoreboard will be added. In addition, a new practice field will be installed, allowing the main field’s condition to be preserved for the school’s home games.

“This is really a dream come true! Our football team just came off an exciting undefeated season after years of being known as a struggling program. These new facilities will allow for our student-athletes to compete on a field that was carefully designed and procured by the best playing field experts in the world,” stated Dr. Amy Cislak, Principal of Tanque Verde High School.
