Fabulous First Days of School ! Thank you students, staff and families for making TVUSD your home 📚🏠📝 Check out our slideshow here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1CGK44YFJ1/

Thank you to everyone who attended today's Meet the Teacher event! We can already tell this is going to be a FABULOUS year!
We have just a few more reminders that will help the beginning of the year go smoothly:
ARRIVAL/LUNCH
*If you arrive after the gates are closed at 8:10, please enter campus through the front office.
*We must have lunch choices submitted by 8:30 each morning. If your child will arrive after that time, but you know they will need school lunch, please email me (kkvaran@tanq.org) and your child's lead teacher to let us know so that we can add their lunch to our order. (You can also message us through the district's new app! There's more information on that below.)
Becky (room 100): bkopiec@tanq.org
Natalea (room 101): nlusk@tanq.org
*Since we have so many new faces this year, we will have nametags in each child's cubby for the first few days of school. If you can help your child put theirs on, we would appreciate it! :)
DISMISSAL
*Our staff has meetings and other obligations soon after dismissal that preclude us from providing a play or socializing space outside of school hours. You are welcome to use the primary playground for that purpose. We are always happy to set up a meeting if you need additional time to discuss your child. Thank you for helping us use our limited time to plan engaging experiences for your preschooler!
*You are welcome to talk to your older child(ren)'s teacher(s) about having them come to the preschool at the end of the day to facilitate an easier pickup. Siblings should remain outside the classrooms.
*If your older child is a kindergartener, their teacher may ask that they get picked up at the kindergarten building for the first few weeks.
*If you have children at ACES, please plan on picking up your preschooler from TVES early to make it to ACES on time. (As a reminder, there is a fee of $3.00/minute after dismissal time for preschool, excluding a 5-minute grace period.)
FOOD ALLERGIES
*There are NO allergen restrictions on what your child can bring for snack and lunch. However, we do have preschoolers with potentially life-threatening food allergies. In an effort to keep everyone safe, we request the following from ALL families:
---If you donate snacks (to be used as backup for children who forget a snack), please choose items with limited/no common allergens. Things like Goldfish, popcorn, or items from the Made Good brand are generally safe.
---Please pack your child's snack in a container or bag labeled with your child's name. This should be separate from their lunch.
*Families in Room 101 ONLY (with Natalea and Shelly):
---Please help your child put their home lunch and snack in the corresponding bins each morning (labeled as allergen-friendly and allergen-containing) so that we are able to seat children accordingly during mealtimes. Lunch bins will be located just outside the classroom front door. Snack bins will be on top of the cubbies.
AUGUST TUITION
Invoices will be sent out no later than Wednesday, August 6. If you haven't yet been able to create a MySchoolBucks account (or link your preschooler to it), please don't stress! You should be able to complete the process in the next few days.
ABSENCES
If your preschooler is going to be absent, please send an email to me, as well as your child's lead teacher, to let us know.
