The Board Summary from the October 14, 2026 Governing Board Meeting is now posted: https://www.tanqueverdeschools.org/o/tvusd/page/board-summary
Dear Parents and Families,
We are excited to begin implementing our Healthy Schools Initiative, with a focus on raising awareness about the risks of vaping and promoting healthy, informed decision-making among our students.
Through this initiative, we will provide students with age-appropriate education about the health risks associated with vaping, the importance of making positive choices, and strategies for resisting peer pressure. Our goal is to foster a safe, healthy school environment where students feel empowered to make decisions that support their overall well-being.
We appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these important messages at home. Together, we can help our students build healthy habits and make choices that positively impact their futures.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership!
Dear Parents and Families,
We recently completed the first of four sessions in our AI Literacy Workshop Series, designed to help students understand the appropriate, responsible, and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI).
Throughout this series, students will explore how AI can be used as a tool to support learning, when its use is appropriate, and when it can interfere with academic growth and integrity. Through these sessions, we aim to strengthen studentsβ critical-thinking skills, promote responsible technology use, and help them understand the importance of using AI as a resource rather than a replacement for their own thinking, creativity, and effort.
As technology continues to evolve, it is essential that our students are equipped to navigate these tools thoughtfully, ethically, and responsibly. We look forward to continuing this important learning journey and appreciate your ongoing partnership in preparing our students for success in an increasingly technology-driven world!
Congratulations Ms. Kerri Marquardt, STEAM, Computer Science and Yearbook Teacher at Emily Gray Junior High for being selected as a 2026 Legendary Teacher Recipient !
