We want to take time to remember with gratitude, Karen Reifschneider, who passed away in March of 2022.  As our fearless leader, she was a dedicated and creative Program Coordinator, teacher and friend, who directed and guided the Adult Leisure Classes at the Lew Sorensen Community Center from 2010 when our new studio opened.

Karen was committed to providing quality arts classes for adults and was always looking for opportunities to expand and improve the content of classes to meet the interests of the community.  She was a patient and caring teacher and role model to students and colleagues, encouraging learning, curiosity, and finding joy - and humor - in the creative process.  Her honesty, integrity and fairness fostered an environment where interpersonal relationships and connections could be made.  We are grateful for the energy and enthusiasm she infused into building this Community Arts program and its continued success.
